- "Culturally relevant to Star Wars" is exactly why Star Wars Fanpedia exists. And George Lucas and Lucasfilm's involvment in a parody is no more relevant to Star Wars canon—Wookieepedia's purview—than is their involvement in the Indiana Jones films. I like the Family Guy pages, so this isn't a vote against them, but rather a vote to move them to an appropriate place. Asithol (talk) 23:38, August 9, 2017 (UTC)
- Per Asithol. Couldn't have said it better myself. Additionally, they actually are not "licensed," which is not the same thing as "endorsed." A license is where something bears the copyright-protected Lucasfilm logo as an official product created by Lucasfilm or one of its licensees/contractors. That's not what's going on with these Family Guy parodies. Look at the DVD cover from one of these spinoffs, which does not bear the Lucasfilm logo. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 00:12, August 10, 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, they're not licensed in any sense. I actually own the box set of these, and can confirm the lack of Lucasfilm logos and verbiage on all three. And I always got the feeling that these weren't so much a matter of "endorsement" by Lucasfilm as a matter of the left hand not bothering to sue the right hand. If 20th Century Fox didn't have their hooks into Lucasfilm, I doubt these would even exist. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 00:40, August 10, 2017 (UTC)

- Changing my vote to delete now that I know that endorsement isn't exactly enough to be on here. But I'm only doing it under one condition: Instead of outright deleting it, I'm proposing that we instead make it a redirect for the Star Wars Fanpedia article. That would be simpler and would allow people to go there if they want to find out about it. Like what we did to the list of Star Wars references in various media articles. - These movies were made with the blessing and involvement of Lucasfilm, to the point that Seth MacFarlane interviewed George Lucas for the special features of Blue Harvest. There was even a panel about Blue Harvest at Celebration IV. It may not be part of the "canon" but it's culturally relevant to Star Wars and had the blessing of George Lucas and Lucasfilm. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 23:55, August 8, 2017 (UTC)
I also vote to keep it, although only because, while not canon in any way, they were officially endorsed by Lucasfilm (personally, if I had it my way, then I wouldn't allow any Family Guy elements on here since I'm not fond of that program). If it's too much of a problem, we can always redirect it to Star Wars Fanpedia, which features similar parodies. Discussion
- If we do vote to remove it, can we please at least have a redirect to Star Wars Fanpedia's article on it rather than delete it outright? Same goes for the other parodies. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 11:01, August 10, 2017 (UTC)
