Ephemera (talk - history - links - logs)
Recent VFDs on jellyfish and Rabelaisians brought this back to mind.
There is no planet called "Ephemera". If memory serves, and it usually does, the precise line reads "a trader in ephemera" (although of course it's in all capitals in the comic). Note IN, not ON. We almost never hear of IN referring to a planet ... i.e., Leia lived ON Alderaan not IN Alderaan.
I always thought the passage was referring to this type of ephemera. See also: ephemeral.
And yes, I know that the CUSWE makes the same assumption. Doesn't make it right.--Valin Kenobi 04:57, 27 Dec 2005 (UTC)

- As a self-proclaimed hyperinclusionist, I hate to admit it, but this time you're right. This one's not canon. Evir Daal 18:50, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

- It's always bothered me that we kept Coruscant Rimward because some idiot isn't well-read enough to recognize something as a real word or an expression. At least that one is slightly debatable and I can give them the benefit of the doubt. This is just ignorance. Not to rant. But delete. Wildyoda 17:28, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
