Electric shaver (talk - history - links - logs)
Along the lines of us not being a general encyclopedia and in the vein of this and this, I think this should be gone also.

- Totally not different from the real world electric razor and therefore not notable. <-Omicron(Leave a message at the BEEP!) 23:50, June 8, 2013 (UTC)

- Let's have an article for stairs, too. They exist in the GFFA, but you wouldn't expect them to because you would think that everyone would use some sort of space-aged elevator. Bleh. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 08:12, June 9, 2013 (UTC)
Keep
- I'm voting keep based on the argument Culator worded better than I could here. The very fact that this thing exists in the SW universe is notable enough to keep. People in the GFFA don't shave with some kind of high-tech, space-age laser doodad. They use plain old electric shavers, just like us. Readers who want to learn about in-universe grooming methods deserve to be able to find this article. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 00:18, June 9, 2013 (UTC)
- Good point. JangFett (Talk) 00:21, June 9, 2013 (UTC)
- To quote myself from the TC that Tope linked to: "I normally vote to delete these English dictionary articles, but these are notable simply by their existence in a universe where one would not expect to find them." That argument isn't quite as strong here, but it still applies. —MJ— Council Chambers 01:18, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

- Have to go inclusionist on this one, despite being more or less a dictionary article, it exists in universe. Supreme Emperor (talk) 01:34, June 9, 2013 (UTC)
- As Tope once said here: "Our job is simply to document Star Wars canon. Nothing more. It doesn't matter if something is identical to the real world or not. If it exists in canon, we document it." --LelalMekha (talk) 07:48, June 9, 2013 (UTC)

- OK, now that there's some canon information here which may actually say something about the Falcon's electrical systems (but probably not.) Still might be an alternate term for groomer, though. 8) —Silly Dan (talk) 19:30, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

- Modern TCs, they all look like electric shavers. </marv> Trak Nar Ramble on 02:12, June 18, 2013 (UTC)

Discussion
- My copy of this book is packed away. Can someone confirm that the information in the novel is that specific (i.e. mentions rotating and oscillating blades, soap, water, and rechargable batteries)? —Silly Dan (talk) 16:25, June 9, 2013 (UTC)
- Ah... this is the only mention in the book "at the present rate, he'd have to drain the charge from his electric shaver into the ship's energy storage system, just to lift off the Core-forsaken planetoid." The article might need to be cut down. Ayrehead02 (talk) 18:43, June 9, 2013 (UTC)
- There we go corrected it to include the canon information. Ayrehead02 (talk) 19:06, June 9, 2013 (UTC)
