Book of Hondo (talk - history - links - logs - delete - protect)
Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide clarifies that the "Book of Hondo" is the Smuggler's Guide name when in Hondo Ohnaka's ownership. Different name, same object and Smuggler's Guide is its ultimate name. Winterz (talk) 16:04, December 9, 2019 (UTC)
Merge with Smuggler's Guide
Keep
- Per my reasoning below.

- I've re-read it many times and I feel it's more to each's interpretation and nothing "clarifies" it as Hondo's book so I can't go forward with supporting the merge. When in doubt, I should just leave it be. Winterz (talk) 03:36, December 11, 2019 (UTC)

Like I said in the prima vitae TC: if the Book of Hondo is just an alternate name for Smuggler's Guide, there's no reason why you can't go ahead and merge+redirect. You don't need to TC cases like these. 1358 (Talk) 19:07, December 9, 2019 (UTC)
- I felt someone could argue against as has happened here, ecks. And besides, I don't know how to merge both talk pages in this situation. Winterz (talk) 22:17, December 9, 2019 (UTC)
- When its about redirecting, talk pages are used before making moves.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 22:19, December 9, 2019 (UTC)
Why do you think they're the same book? As far I can see Hondo gives ideas for his own book, he doesn't mentions that they're meant to be the same. Besides if Hondo considers the Smuggler's Guide and the Book of Hondo to be the same, the quote "Do not wait for opportunity to strike. Steal it instead!" would've been included, and as far I can see that quote isn't included.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 21:10, December 9, 2019 (UTC)
- Hondo acquires the Smuggler's Guide logbook. Then he starts recording his own logs in it (as have the rest of the owners which the made the logbook theirs), then he gets a master forger to copy the Smuggler's Guide and auction the fake copies. When he's reflecting on inserting his observations into the book, he thinks of names such as The Ohnaka Codex, The Book of Hondo and another. Winterz (talk) 22:38, December 9, 2019 (UTC)
- As far as I can see, I don't think we have enough evidence to assume these two are the same book. On the contrary, the colored quote boxes on pages 22–26 suggest that the Book of Hondo is a different book, from which the Smuggler's Guide includes quotes from.
