B-series (talk - history - links - logs)
This has never been confirmed by an official source. It was created by an anon some time ago, and quite frankly, many of the droids in there have do not even have a "B" in their names. Dr. Kermit(Complain.) 00:49, March 11, 2010 (UTC)

- Delete unless someone can dig up canonical proof for this name. —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 02:28, March 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Agree with Jonathan. If someone finds canonical proof, then we'll keep it. The content may be in canon, but the series appears to be fanon. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 02:33, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

- Seems as though the article was created by our dearly departed friend Jack Nebulax, rather than an anon. If someone can in fact produce literal mention of this series of droid in any of the sources listed, I'll be happy to change my vote to Keep. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:29, March 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Delete per pg. 79 of The New Essential Guide to Droids, in the section on B1-Series battle droids: "Because battle droids don't have a standard alphanumeric series designation, their individual names can sometimes seem haphazard." (Emphasis mine.) jSarek 23:40, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

I'm a touch confused as to why this is here. Is it the title of the article that has never been confirmed? I ask because the content is confirmed. In other words, are we saying that there is no confirmed "B-series" and that is why this should be deleted? — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 22:27, March 11, 2010 (UTC)
- I suppose I should have been more clear. You're right. The name has never been confirmed, and many droids don't have designations. For all we know, some could be OOM units. Of course there is a sequence of droids from B1 to B2 to C-B3, but that's all that's been confirmed. And to call them a B series just because they have a B somewhere in the name? Ridiculous. Dr. Kermit(Complain.) 01:49, March 12, 2010 (UTC)
As a note to administrators who close these, please consider Category:Images of B-series battle droids and Category:B-series battle droids. If that needs a separate TC since voting has already started, I'm happy to start it. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 02:37, March 12, 2010 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Also Category:B-series battle droids and its subcategory, Category:B-series variants. —Master Jonathan(Jedi Council Chambers) 02:41, March 12, 2010 (UTC)
Just checked Section B of The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia on entries "B1 worker droid", and "battle droid, Trade Federation", but there is no mention of a "B-series" anywhere. However for the entry of "Battle Legionnaire droid", they are described as a "BL series" in parentheses. Interestingly enough, there is also a baron droid, classified E4 that is considered the predecessor to the B2. Looking in the Section S though for "super battle droid", they are given as "B1 series droids" and "B2 series droids", but still no "B series" or "B-series" -- Riffsyphon1024 10:35, March 14, 2010 (UTC)
