Anti-Air Clone Trooper (talk - history - links - logs)
Per the recent precedent of Jedi sniper. This is not a specific clone trooper variety like, for example, blaze trooper. This is not even Battlefront's clone heavy trooper, for pity's sake. This is simply a clone trooper armed with a rocket launcher, nothing more. No indication of them ever receiving any special training, or having any unique weaponry, or being a part of a special GAR unit - nothing. Therefore, it must be considered game mechanics and is a clear redirect case. Objections? MauserComlink 13:58, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

- Epic meh. The deletion argument states that there's no specialized equipment or training for this unit, but the very title of the page seems to belie that argument—it seems to me that these were a separate organization of troopers and not just clones who picked up rocket launchers. I'm all for mergism, just not this time. Atarumaster88

- As silly as the article currently is, and as silly as the proliferation of inane clone trooper types in canon, these guys seems to be more than just clone troopers with rocket launchers -- they also seem to sport some kind of jetpack, and they seem to comprise a separate type. I'm going to have to say that this is as different as blaze troopers or whatever. Havac 20:09, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

- You know, I was really going to go neutral for this because for once, I agreed with Mauser that this article was kinda too much game mechanics and silly. But then again, I thought that well, I don't think there really is another type of clone trooper unit specialized for handling missile launchers besides the ARC troopers, which while they carried PLX launchers, they weren't actually trained to handle only anti-aircraft weaponry. So, I'm pretty sure now that as silly as I thought this was, the Republic got to have some clone trooper unit specialized with missile launchers. Absolutely per Ataru. - o_O um... ok you got me there, sorry. ^^ That's interesting, and I'm a Battlefront fan too, how did I miss that?! But seriously, if that was the case, then I think it should be merged with clone heavy trooper. Cyfiero 07:44, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
- That is to say, instead of with clone trooper. Cyfiero 07:46, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

- LucasArts shouldn't have created more classes for galaxies but it seems they meant to keep it separate from Battlefront's. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:49, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Per everyone else. Although they are crappy units (even an air fighter can take them out). SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 07:52, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

- I'm not sure was I supposed to move the page while it's on TC, because the template seems messed-up now. Sorry, but maybe someone should check on it. Cyfiero 06:58, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
