New Templates?

  • Is it okay to create new templates? Do they have to be approved? Is there some regulation against what one can and cannot create? Atarumaster88 14:43, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
    • There's no formal approval except for userbox templates (discussed at Wookieepedia:Userbox proposal). Apart from that, users can create templates, which may prove useful or useless (and, in the latter case, deleted). - Sikon [Talk] 14:59, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
      • Since you're an admin, what do you think of Template: Argument? I made it after observing several pages that contained seeminly pointless, redundant, and otherwise useless arguments. Atarumaster88 15:35, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
        • You might want to make that a talk page template, as I don't think that arguments on the talk page really need to be addressed at the top of the article. I mean, we already have Template:Dispute, [[Template:Disputeabout]], [[Template:ActiveDiscuss]], [[Template:Controversial]], and [[Template:Controversial3]].–SentryTalk 01:31, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
          • Consider it done, administrator. I think I will go ahead and test it out for the first time- on the Jedi Exile page. Atarumaster88 14:24, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
