I happened to run across this eBay seller who is selling, among other things, a large amount of character model sheets for the Ewoks cartoon. If they're legit, and I don't see why they wouldn't be, they could be quite helpful to the site, particularly where spellings are concerned. Spellings we appear to have wrong include "Bilbob" (Mylnob), "Jadru" (Jaydru), and "Mudgub" (Mud-Dub). The Pugs, Kagles, and Tambles also have sheets, and by the way the sheets describe them (ie. "A generic Tamble") it sounds like this are in fact species names. Additionally, Norky's species or surname seems to be "Persta," as his parents are called Pa and Ma Persta. Thoughts? - You should definitely take screengrabs of all those sheets, at least in the meantime, in case they ever disappear from that site. StarsiderSWG (talk) 22:08, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
- Also looks like Rakazzak beast is spelled differently here StarsiderSWG (talk) 22:17, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
- Done. Other differences: "Ice Heads" and "Tumble Bunnies" have a space, Larry's species is spelled "Shrieks" (with an "s" at the end) and Morag's pet is labeled as a "Two-headed Skee." The Snow King is listed as a "Snowman Creature" but I don't know if that's supposed to be his species or just a descriptor. Rod (talk) 00:25, November 26, 2015 (UTC)
- Looks legit to me. Here's something else interesting, this here - it identifies one of the characters as "Mookiee." According to our page, she was never identified by any source before, so that could be info we could use right there. Right now, her only listed appearances are as a plush toy and a couple of sources. ProfessorTofty (talk) 07:40, November 26, 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, Rod, for linking to these!
I don't question their authenticity, but I do question their reliability, especially considering they aren't even internally consistent. For instance, E-75A and E-75B are labelled THE TUMBLE BUNNIES, but E-76 is called TUMBLEBUNNIES RINGMASTER. This doesn't tell us whether it's supposed to be one or two words. (Our current article similarly can't make up its mind.) The discrepancy is worth noting in Behind the scenes, though, and we should at least change the name of our trainer article to use the more official term "ringmaster."
And these sheets are useful for providing spellings when we have no other source to go by. Our current spelling of "Jadru," for example, is misleading because it suggests a short "a" sound. The spelling in E-77A, "Jaydru," suggests the pronunciation used in the episode. Asithol (talk) 23:29, November 27, 2015 (UTC)
