Wookieepedia:FAQ says "Sources" are reference material that provides canon information, but does not have a plot, such as Essential Guides, roleplaying rulebooks and sourcebooks, and The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
...but none of those are canon anymore, are they? At least, not entirely. i suggest replacing the word canon with licensed or official. (Also suspect Essential Guides should be italicized.)
As an unrelated issue, the Forum:Index says the Forum:Administrators'_noticeboard has Never been edited. Does it say that whenever its contents move to the Forum:Administrators'_noticeboard_archive, or is the Administrators' noticeboard malfunctioning? Posting here partly to test if the noticeboard is working and if anyone is watching it.
Thank you.

- Obligatory "not an admin" here, but I feel like you're conflating "canon" and "Canon" (with a capital "c"). They're "canon," but to the Legends continuity. Probably a bit more suited for SH than the NB irregardless. - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 23:38, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- Per Thannus above, Wookieepedia essentially separates Star Wars material as two different continuities: The Legends continuity includes everything released prior to the Lucasfilm declaration of April 25, 2014, and the Canon continuity consists of the original six films, The Clone Wars animated series, the new stories after the declaration. For example, Heir to the Empire is considered canon within the Legends continuity, but LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation is non-canon within the new Canon continuity. For more information, you might want to check Wookieepedia's canon policy. For further discussion, you can create a Senate Hall thread, which would be a more appropriate place for it.

- Also, "Essential Guides" appears to not be italicized because it's not referring to a book title, but perhaps it could be considered a series title, so maybe it should be. Master Fredcerique
