Playing the game Star Wars: Episode I Racer, whenever you start a race on Malastare, you have a creature appearing in the video that shows the planet. It seems to hang at the top of a rock, waving at you. It has a black skin, glowing red eyes and its waits seems to consist only of its spine. This creature is listed nowhere on Wookieepedia. Is there even a name for that species or was it just added to the game without getting a proper description. --137.226.158.159 22:53, June 18, 2013 (UTC)

- The Prima guide gives a capsule description on p. 35: "Malastare's host is a curious creature. Living a depraved life on the surface of this intoxicating planet, breathing methane like air, Nugtosh 'allows' pilots to compete on the abandoned courses, promising that, if it gets to make an appearance at teh beginning of each race, it won't sabotage the track. No one knows where the creature comes from, how old it is, or whether it's male or female. A true enigma, its survival alone proves it's not one to be crossed. Out of respect for this, everyone accepts Nugtosh's appearance as a permanent adjunct to any race held on Malastare." There's no mention of Nugtosh in the Nintendo strategy guide, only this Prima one. ~Savage 11:59, June 19, 2013 (UTC)

Slightly off topic, but if methane deposits were common on Malastare, wouldn't the podracer engines ignite them?--206.39.41.2 22:15, June 19, 2013 (UTC)
