Hi, I think the photos for systems in the infobox for systems should be photos of where system on a map.
This would be a better photo then just including a photo of the planet from space again, which seems to be what some system pages are doing. Photos of the planet from space can just go on the planet page.
appologies but the two types of system images are on the side. I'm not sure how to fix this. RocketLaunchJr (talk) 11:20, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
NOTE: THIS HAS NOW BEEN PUT ON SENATE HALL: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Forum:SH:Photos_for_systems_should_be_location_on_map
This is the photo uses for the "Ghorman's system" page. This is what i'm recommend standardising the photos to

Oppose
- Oppose on the principle that infobox images, wherever possible, should show the actual subject of the article. Showing Lothal in space does show what the Lothal system actually looks like, whereas showing Lothal on a map is just an abstract notation that is only good for relaying to us relative locational information. - Certainly an interesting proposal to make with no prior discussion or Senate Hall. And on principle I'll always oppose CTs that aren't slotting themselves into policy because they result in one-off forgotten decisions that get dragged up by the few people who remember them every so often as an arguing point, rather than being made part of a policy for all to easily access and read about.—spookywillowwtalk 11:29, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
- Going off of what Spooky said, posting these sorts of topics in a Senate Hall first allows for discussion on (for example) whether different cases need different approaches. For example, when to use a map image vs a planet image. It helps hash out what makes sense in each situation and whether a formal policy is even needed, rather than enforcing a one-size-fits-all rule. - Brandon Rhea(talk)(he/him/his) 11:52, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
