A vote following from Forum:SH:Modification to notability policy re:identical subjects. Please refer to that thread for full reasoning, but briefly, the current Notability policy allows us to essentially retcon canon Star Destroyers into the films just because their counterparts did in Legends, which feels like overstepping the line between common sense and Fanon. We've seen cases where canon authors have assigned film starships different identities than they had in Legends, so this slight tweak closes the door on this practice.

From feedback, the tweak will only focus on indistinguishable starships, given statements from Leland Chee about characters' backstories being carried over from Legends. Thus, indistinguishable characters like Hume Tarl are safe. As such, the following proposal would add the following bold text to Wookieepedia:Notability policy#New canon subjects:

… Mosep Binneed visually identified by Legends source material.

This does not apply to:

• Individual starships that are visually indistinguishable. For example: most individual Imperial-class Star Destroyers are visually indistinguishable. As such, the Adjudicator should not be assumed to appear in The Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi in canon, despite the Legends Adjudicator appearing in these pieces of media.
• Appearances of sectors or galactic regions such as the Outer Rim Territories.
