Hey guys, I recently created a page for the New Republic X-wing when User:Cade Calrayn redirected it to the T-65 X-wing starfighter page, even though there's a Databank article for it. But I want to hear what you think. Should we keep the redirect or split it? Elijah Palmer (talk) 15:29, 17 January 2025 (UTC)

  • By the way, the Forum:Trash compactor handles move/redirect/keep/delete disputes. The CT is not really the most optimal place for this.—spookywillowwtalk 15:31, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
  • The aforementioned Databank entry (StarWars-DatabankII New Republic X-Wings in the Databank (backup link)) reads "The venerable Incom T-65 design continues to serve proudly in the fleets of the new Republic [...]". Cade's case is clear cut here. NanoLuukeCloning Facility 15:36, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
    • Yeah, this CT is not really able to actually put anything into policy. Elijah, as I pointed out repeatedly in my edit summary, the Databank itself calls the X-wings just normal T-65 X-wings. We don't do articles for "Government-version of Ship X"; I understand you're enthusiastic about creating articles but you really need to actually do the research to see if an article is actually necessary. • Ok, sorry about that! You can close this now. Elijah Palmer (talk) 15:39, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
