Here's another (hopefully) quick 'n easy one:

The MoS currently stipulates that we should italicize all ship names. However, the names of certain vessels, namely the Sith Meditation Sphere Ship, are not italicized in the majority of canonical sources in which they appear. In this example, Ship is italicized in the CSWE, but in every single other appearance and mention outside of the CSWE (8 novels in all) it is not italicized. So my proposal is to add the following to the MoS, under the Class and ship names subsection:

"The italicization of a ship's name should follow the most common way the name is presented in canonical sources."

AFAIK, this is really just going to affect Ship's article (although I suppose future instances similar to this are possible) and is for the simple purpose of making it so we don't have to worry about further edit-warring over the fact that the rest of our site's ships are italicized while this one is not.

    • Yes. It will apply to everything. So if the majority of canon sources refer to it without italics, it won't be italicized, and vice versa. Grunny (talk) 02:43, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
