The result of the debate was inconclusive (see Forum:Head shots in infobox).–SentryTalk 03:35, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
That's it, basically. Can we agree on this? Because there are some disagreements between advocates of either. - Sikon 18:44, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'd say closeups, as we get a clearer view of the face, obviously, which is the greatest distinguishing mark of anyone. It's more important to show a clear closeup than showing off the character's shiny boots. --Imp 18:48, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- I prefer closeups, but I don't mind a full body shot so long as it is reasonably close as well (like Leia's current image) and if the article is long enough to sustain a very tall image. -- Ozzel 18:55, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'll repeat what I said [[1]]: "Why do we need to be this specific about which image is the primary image? I think we should favor live-action images (be it from a movie, video-game cutscene, SWCCG card, or whatever) over other images, but other than that, we should pick whatever seems like the *best* picture, be it most aesthetically pleasing, most iconic, first appearance, or whatnot. If there's a dispute, leave it to the consensus to decide which picture is best." jSarek 07:41, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- I agree on the preference or live action in situ images over promotion shots and the like. As to the question of close-ups vs full-body images, I'd say it all depends on the image and article in question. KEJ 07:44, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- Agree with JSarek, and posit that in the instance where there are two good candidates, go for closeup. QuentinGeorge 07:49, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- Per QuentinGeorge. --Tinwe 08:01, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- So, should there a vote or the like be held in case there is disagreement over the image, like I did for the Jedi Exile? - Sikon 08:21, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- Per QuentinGeorge. --Tinwe 08:01, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
