Currently, Item 16 of both the Featured article and Good article requirements is "include a reasonable number of images of good quality if said images are available." This is somewhat ill-defined, and some users have interpreted this to require high-resolution scans, higher resolution than can ever be displayed at full quality in an article. I find this to not only be overkill, but indefensible from a fair use standpoint; images larger than can be displayed in an article no longer meet the criterion that "the secondary user only copies as much as is necessary for his or her intended use." It's also indefensible from the standpoint that Wookieepedia is an encyclopedia first and foremost, not an image library. Thus, I suggest Item 16 in both lists be changed to "include a reasonable number of images of sufficient quality to illustrate the article, if said images are available." jSarek 08:13, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
