The result of the debate was userbox created. Green Tentacle (Talk) 02:14, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
With the change in policy regarding the status of Good articles and the establishment of the AgriCorps, there is an increasing number of articles which now have the status of former good article. As a motivation to induce editors to restore these articles to good status, I propose that we adopt a new type of "award" userbox and attendant category: Wookieepedians who have restored articles to Good status, in addition to adopting the process of restoring a formerly good article to that status. A preliminary box has been created for your viewing pleasure:
| This user helped restore the article [[{{{1}}}]] to good status. |
This is in keeping with the philosophy behind the userbox and category for Wookieepedians who have restored articles to Featured status, and as such, seems to be a logical addition to the community.--Goodwood (Alliance Intelligence) 21:51, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Adopt userbox and process

- I'm cool with it, though I'm not entirely sure this needs a CT. But still, great idea Goodwood. DC 22:29, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

- IMO, someone who restores a GA deserves no less credit than someone who writes one from scratch. SoresuMakashi(Everything I tell you is a lie) 23:22, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

- I think it's a little silly that people need userboxes like this to get motivated to improve articles in the first place, but hey if it works it works! DolukTalk 17:34, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

- If Wookieepedians restore former GAs to their old status, then I see no reason why these users should not show their restored GAs on their userpage. Pranay Sobusk ~ Talk 21:04, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Do not adopt
- Find a way to occlude the unsightly light-gray shadow of the icon (I suggest a new image; otherwise making the box from scratch instead of using the {{userbox}} template might help) and I'll strike and approve. Graestan(Talk) 04:53, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Comments
- The box itself is open to change in colour, of course, but this seems to go with the theme.--Goodwood
