The result of the debate was Wookieepedia:Equality and Wookieepedia:Consensus created —Xwing328(Talk) 17:31, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Recent issues have made it clear to me that certain ideas, which one would think should be common sense, need to be explicitly stated in Wookieepedia policy. -- Darth Culator (Talk)(Kills) 14:32, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Proposed wording for Wookieepedia:Equality:
"While Wookieepedia recognizes and accepts the special needs of certain individuals, those individuals cannot be considered exempt from the standards of conduct that all Wookieepedians must abide by.
No physical or mental condition shall be considered cause to suspend the enforcement of any Wookieepedia policy or guideline, including the blocking policy."

- Probably needs to be expanded slightly, due to the fact that a single sentence doesn't really cover all bases...but definitely support. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 15:01, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't even want to know why we would need this. Havac 20:22, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

- I thought it had always been our policy to treat everyone equally here. This is sad. Atarumaster88

Violating consensus
Proposed wording for Wookieepedia:Consensus:
"In many cases, changes to wiki-wide policy and/or changes to individual articles are determined by consensus. In the absence of consensus, these issues may be settled by a majority or supermajority of Wookieepedians polled (as mediated by one or more administrators).
When an issue is settled by either of these methods, attempts by any individual to counteract or violate these decisions without community support (as determined by a renewed discussion of the issue with participation equal to or greater than the original discussion) will be considered vandalism under the blocking policy."

- Maybe change the wording from "vandalism" to "disruptive editing", since the people going against consensus are actually trying to improve articles (even if they are wrong.)—Silly Dan (talk) 05:10, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

I think we need to include "knowingly" or some similar language in there to protect new users who, not having read the hurly-burly on the Talk page or CT thread, try to improve the article by doing something verboten. They're not being vandals, they just haven't gotten the latest word from on high. jSarek 12:06, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- That's probably a good idea. Any objections? -- Darth Culator (Talk)(Kills) 14:04, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
