The result of the debate was Support proposed changes. Tommy
On May 17, 2014, Wookieepedia officially implemented the era tabs system into articles. These are the familiar Canon/Legends tabs you see on many pages to help users distinguish and navigate between subjects appearing in both continuities.
Having stared at these tabs now for nearly half a decade, several users over the years have expressed their desire for a little different look to them. To paraphrase some conversations I've had with people, I've heard users describe the design as wonky, outdated, and tacky. So I think the time has come to streamline their look a little bit.
I hereby propose to you the following look:
What we've done here is end the horizontal line at the Legends tab (it no longer stretches horizontally across the entire top of the page) and also make it a little bit thinner. The specific edits can be found here and here, and this change is currently live on the wiki on a temporary basis for demonstration purposes.
While this is by no means a major change, I believe this helps make it look a little bit more cleaner and sharper. Certainly, any additional changes we might want to see made to the tab design can be explored in future discussions, but I think this is at least a nice first step.
Should this proposal pass, this temporary design change to the tabs will go into full effect. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 21:29, February 12, 2019 (UTC)

- I for one think though this is a minor change, it gives it a cleaner presentation, a sharper look. We've had the other way for a few years, and a fresh look wouldn't hurt. Supreme Emperor (talk) 00:06, February 13, 2019 (UTC)

- It seems to me that it would be better to not have that line compete visually with the default Fandom thin gray line above the tabs. And, to ease the concerns of ecks stated below, although I do agree that the line visually leads the eyes to the tabs, I believe the latter are prominent enough to stand on their own. Oppose
- As I've expressed elsewhere: while I support making the line thinner, I feel like the complete removal of the horizontal line would be detrimental to the tab-based navigation; without a line, the tabs aren't as obvious as they are right now. 1358 (Talk) 23:55, February 12, 2019 (UTC)
- Honestly, I actually somewhat preferred the line, the blank space looks a bit awkward without it. Zed42 (talk) 04:05, February 13, 2019 (UTC)

- Is there an image where the previous formatting is visible for comparison purposes? Imperators II(Talk) 10:32, February 13, 2019 (UTC)
