Force binding, also known as Force containment, was a Force power of the light side of the Force that gave its users the ability to contain the influence that an artifact of the dark side of the Force had on its surroundings. Members of the Jedi Order used binding rituals on artifacts so that they could be transported safely.[1] In 232 BBY,[2] Jedi Master Cohmac Vitus, Jedi Knight Orla Jareni, and Jedi Padawan Reath Silas used Force binding on a set of four idols they discovered on the Amaxine space station.[1]
