Fomalhaut was the primary star of the Fomalhaut system and was orbited by at least one small planet. Fomalhaut was prone to seasonal solar eruptions, which forced spacers and pilots to perform many arduous maneuvers before jumping to hyperspace.[1]

Behind the scenes

Fomalhaut, literally "mouth of the whale" (فم الحوت) in Arabic, is a real-world star in the Piscis Austrinus constellation.[2] The unlicensed Legends star, Fomalhaut, was mentioned in L'Arche d'Alliance ("The Ark of Covenant"), a scenario published in the French RPG magazine Dragon Radieux #17.[1]
