- Ackmora: "Are these terms agreeable? We provide you a ship with a hyperdrive and set a course for a distant world where you will be safe. At least until the people of the galaxy have found a way to stop the blight. […]"
- The Great Progenitor: "Does this one speak for you?"
- Tep Tep: "Yes. Yes he does."
- The Great Progenitor: "Then we have a concordance. We accept your terms."
- ―Jedi Master Ackmora, the Great Progenitor, and Jedi youngling Tep Tep[1]
Floris was an uninhabited planet located far on the Outer Rim that was distant from the Outer Rim planet Eiram. In 228 BBY, during the High Republic Era, the sentient carnivorous plants known as the Drengir, believing the blight plague was coming to Eiram, made an attempt to leave the planet. After the Jedi Order discovered this, they agreed to give the Drengir their starship, the Innovator, and set it for a distant world so the plants could escape the blight until it had been stopped. Before departing, however, the Great Progenitor—the Drengir's matriarch—had Republic Defense Coalition Petty Officer Orlis change their destination from Floris to the Mid Rim planet Kashyyyk, where she thought they would flourish.
Description
Floris was a planet located far on the Outer Rim that was distant from Eiram—a planet[1] within the Eiram system of the Outer Rim's Dalnan sector.[2]
History
The Great Progenitor (pictured) influenced Petty Officer Orlis to change the Drengir's intended course from Floris to Kashyyyk.
In 228 BBY,[3] during the High Republic Era, members of the Jedi Order fought against the Drengir—sentient carnivorous plants led by their matriarch, the Great Progenitor—and learned the Drengir were attempting to flee the planet Eiram, as they believed the plague known as the blight was heading there. In response, the Jedi agreed to provide the plants with[1] the Elite-class vessel[4] Innovator and a distant world so they could be safe until the blight was stopped.[1]
Before the Drengir left Eiram aboard the Innovator, Republic Defense Coalition Petty Officer Orlis arrived on the ship to set its navigation computer to head toward Floris, as it was far from the Galactic Republic and blight. The Great Progenitor, however, briefly used a vine to control Orlis' thoughts and had him instead set the computer to head to[1] the Mid Rim[2] planet Kashyyyk, where she believed the Drengir would flourish. As the Innovator traveled through hyperspace on its way to Kashyyyk, the Great Progenitor thought about the original intent for the Drengir to travel to Floris and recalled her control of the petty officer to change their course to their new destination, noting he would not remember.[1] During their journey, the Drengir sensed the blight and were compelled to alter their course repeatedly to avoid it, before they eventually did travel to Kashyyyk.[5]
Inhabitants
By 228 BBY,[3] Floris was uninhabited.[1]

The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic Adventures (2023) 4 takes place one year and two weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY. Since the events of The High Republic Adventures (2023) 6 are set immediately following the fourth issue and depict the expansion of the Stormwall, the expansion must have taken place in the same year. Meanwhile, the events of "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: No Big Deal" include the Stormwall's expansion and also depict the start of Pikka Adren's pregnancy. A later story, "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: Sparks Fly," states that Adren is eight months pregnant during its events, indicating that it is set eight months after "No Big Deal," and therefore one year, eight months, and two weeks after the fall of Starlight Beacon. "Sparks Fly" is set during the Battle of Eriadu, an event that begins in The High Republic Adventures Phase III - The Wedding Spectacular. As
Star Wars: The High Republic Chronological Reader's Guide on StarWars.com (article) (backup link) places The High Republic: Haunted Starlight between the events of "No Big Deal" and The Wedding Spectacular, its events must also be set in 228 BBY.
