The "yoghurt plant,"[1] also spelt as "yogurt" plant,[2] and as yogurt plant,[3] was a type of paludial fungi that grew on the planet Dagobah.[1]
Behind the scenes
- "I like how alien his version of Dagobah is, too: full of little spotted yogurt plants and creepy roots. To me, Ralph was an artistic Yoda of sorts—full of a magical wit and wisdom—so I have an especially soft spot for this piece."
- ―Paul Bateman, on Ralph McQuarrie's production painting
The "yoghurt plant" was introduced in the 1980 reference book The Art of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back on a production painting drawn by Ralph McQuarrie.[2]
