Xilawa Dater was a Jedi youngling on Coruscant during the High Republic Era.
Xilawa Dater was a human member of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. While a youngling, she performed exercises in the Temple arboreta that demonstrated her strong sense of life.[1] In 132 BBY,[3] he[1] attended a lesson with other younglings on a training veranda in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant. The lesson was led by Jedi Master Sol, who instructed Dater and the others to meditate and close their eyes, stating that their sight could not be trusted, as it could be deceived.[2]
Sol then instructed the younglings to connect to the Force and tell him what entered their minds. Dater stated that she saw life, and Sol responded approvingly. After the student[2] Jev Eremia said he[1] saw fire, Sol explained that the Force was powerful like a fire or an ocean and so must be respected. By this point, the Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh had entered the veranda to speak with Sol, and so he called the lesson to an end, dismissing Dater and the rest of the class for lunch. She opened her eyes and stood. filing out with the others and bowing to Rwoh before being shepherded away by[2] Jedi Knight Flurri Wiss[1] and another Jedi.[2]
