Waka

Waka was a Rodian mechanic and scavenger who resided on the moon Toshara during the Imperial Era. While fleeing from bandits, he encountered the scoundrel Kay Vess after she crashed on the moon in the Trailblazer. After Vess defeated the bandits, Waka offered to assist her in repairing the starship. Though she was initially hesitant, Waka quickly introduced himself and provided her with information on how to earn credits on the planet in order to afford the repairs, including working with Gorak Palas and the Pyke Syndicate. Believing that Vess did not deserve the Trailblazer, he eventually betrayed the scoundrel by leading the bounty hunter Vail Tormin to her. However, Tormin, who saw Waka as a loose end, killed him.^[2]

Personality and traits

Waka spent his life dreaming of wealth, greatness, comfort, and power but was against the idea of working hard to attain them. Though he had big ambitions, he lacked foresight and his interests lay solely with himself. He gained a reputation for being unreliable following a number of failed grifts and burned allies.^[2]
