The Thory sector[1] was located in the New Territories portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It contained the Thory Prime system, which was connected by hyperlanes to the neighboring Corthenia and Dohu sectors.[3]

By 0 ABY, the Thory sector bordered the Glythe sector westward, the Corthenia sector northward, the Qiilura sector eastward, and the Dohu and Tiala sectors southward.[4] Thory retained these borders by 12 ABY, when it constituted a part of the New Republic.[3]

Behind the scenes

The Thory sector was introduced in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas.[1] Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, noted on the Jedi Council Forums of TheForce.net that the Thory Prime system was created for "bookkeeping purposes" so that the Thory sector would have at least one corresponding system.[5] In 2011, the sector was depicted on a map designed by Modi and published in the Online Companion feature "Essential Atlas Extra: Sectors of the Mid Rim," which placed it in grid square K-7.[6]
