Tiisheraan was a planet[4] located in the Tiisheraan system, a part of the Southern Core portion of[2] the Core Worlds.[1] In 3638 BBY,[5] the Hutt[6] scientist[7] and droid inventor Doctor Juvard Illip Oggurobb believed that Tiisheraan would be perfectly suited for hosting a private laboratory that[6] he[7] wished to have.[6]

Tiisheraan was the homeworld of the Galactic Republic Senator Galen Derlin[4] and the birthplace of[8] his[9] Human[10] son, Bren.[9] After the Republic was replaced by the Galactic Empire[4] in 19 BBY,[11] former Senator Derlin returned to Tiisheraan, and was eventually murdered by an Imperial assassin sent by Emperor Palpatine.[4] Following[3] his[8] father's death, Bren, as well as his fellow Human native of Tiisheraan, Beryann Raleg, joined the Rebel Alliance.[3]

Behind the scenes

"Perhaps your Supreme Chancellor will reward me with my own private laboratory. The planet Tisheraan [sic] would be perfect."
―Doctor Juvard Illip Oggurobb, in an optional dialogue with a Galactic Republic-aligned player character[6]

Tiisheraan was first mentioned in the 1994 The Last Command Sourcebook, written by Eric Trautmann for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[12] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Tiisheraan system, and therefore the planet Tiisheraan, in grid square L-13.[2]

In Rise of the Hutt Cartel, a 2013 expansion for the 2011 BioWare video game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, a Galactic Republic–aligned player character can thank Doctor Juvard Illip Oggurobb for his assistance in dealing with Toborro—the Hutt Cartel leader on the planet Makeb—at which point Oggurobb expresses the possibility that the Republic's Supreme Chancellor Leontyne Saresh would reward him by granting him a private laboratory. The Hutt further notes that Tiisheraan—which the game misspells as "Tisheraan"—would be a perfect site for such a facility.[6]
