- "The abekdodo was the ancestor of the common abektofah. As you can see, it shares a very similar bone structure. What I find fascinating, however, is its shorter wingspan, which shows that the abekdodo didn't evolve to utilize Toshara's strong winds. a sign of a calmer, more serene moon perhaps? Truly a remarkable specimen."
"Yeah. I am pretty sure this is a fake."
"O-of course, I knew that." - ―Explorer to a freelancer
The Abekdodo was a wing species found on Toshara, a moon in the Outer Rim Territories.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] it was an ancestral species to the common Abektofah. The Abektofah had a similar bone structure as the Abekdodo but with a wider wingspan.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] a Rodian explorer was examining a abekdodo specimen and making observations about it in the Market District of Mirogana, the capital city of Toshara. A near by Rodian freelancer commented that they were pretty sure it was a fake, to which the explorer claimed to already know that.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Abekdodo were first mentioned in ambient dialogue that the player can over hear in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.[1]
