"A single credit? No! I-It took my family years to gather these gems! They're worth many more times than what you offer!"

A human vendor owned a stall on the space station trading post known as the Ring of Kafrene. By 13 BBY, they attempted to sell a golden necklace adorned in magenta gemstones. Eventually, a wealthy woman attempted to purchase the necklace for a single credit. The vendor declined and firmly stated that as it took their family years to obtain the gems in the necklace, it was worth more than their offer.

The woman threatened to summon a group of Imperial stormtroopers to inspect the vendor's business license if they did not accept the one credit offer. Defeated, they gave the necklace to the woman. The thief Lena—pretending to be a mystic seer—robbed the woman as their eyes were closed, returning the necklace to the vendor, who gave a smile.

A woman attempted to buy the vendor's necklace.

A human vendor resided on the Ring of Kafrene[1] space station and trading post.[2] At some point by 13 BBY,[3] the vendor was selling a golden necklace adorned with magenta gemstones gathered by their family over the course of years. A wealthy woman offered to purchase the necklace for a single credit. The vendor declined their offer, stuttering over their words but firmly informing the woman it was worth many times more than what they offered.[1]

In response, the woman told the vendor their husband was a very important Imperial officer of the Galactic Empire and threatened to summon a group of stormtroopers—who were in the process of arresting an Aqualish—to inspect the vendor's business license, which they teased may not be in order. The defeated vendor groaned and accepted the offer of one credit and sarcastically asked why the woman should care if they starved. The woman smugly laughed and repeated the question to themselves.[1]

Lena returned the necklace to the vendor.

Lena returned the necklace to the vendor.

As the woman inspected the necklace around their neck, the thief Lena approached them, stating she was a mystic seer. She convinced the woman to close their eyes, and as Lena told them their phony fortune, her Kowakian monkey-lizard partner Zradca lifted the necklace off of their head and stole multiple crystals from their purse. After stealing from the woman, Lena kept the crystals and tossed the necklace back to the vendor, who gave a smile as they caught it.[1]

The vendor refused to sell the necklace that took their family years to assemble for a single credit, but gave in and took the offer when the wealthy woman threatened to summon a group of stormtroopers to the stall. As they gave the woman the necklace, they sarcastically asked why the woman should care if they starved. The vendor had light skin and brown hair.[1]

Equipment

The vendor wore a tan-colored undershirt under a dark grey robe with a brown belt. They worked at a stall with a red sheet across the top. At the stall, they attempted to sell a golden colored necklace with magenta gemstones gathered by their family.[1]

Behind the scenes

The vendor appeared in "Escape with Chewbacca," the second part of the second episode of the non-canon animated series LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars,[1] which was released on November 17, 2018.[4] They were voiced by John DiMaggio.[1] The vendor's model was later used for a merchant also operating on the Ring of Kafrene in "Han and Chewie Strike Back," the second part of the series' third episode,[5] released on November 24 of the same year.[4]
