"Like anything else, practice makes perfect. If in the beginning your models aren't coming out the way they should, don't worry. Crumple it up, tell everyone it's a piece of the exploded Death Star, and try again."
―Introduction[1]

Star Wars Origami: 11 Amazing Paper Folding Projects from a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... Characters is an origami art book by Chris Alexander. It contains twelve characters to fold, with forty-two sheets of paper. Each character has a paragraph before the folding instructions to explain who they are. The book also has two pages of trivia; one gives a list of weapons and characters, asking to match the character to their weapon of choice, and the other provides eight multiple-choice trivia questions.

A similar book, Star Wars Origami: 11 Amazing Paper Folding Projects from a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... Spacecraft, was also released to cover eleven starships and vehicles from Star Wars.

Contents

As the subtitle of the book states, it contains eleven folding projects, but this totals twelve characters: the same instructions apply to Jango Fett and Boba Fett. Each project is assigned a rank from the Jedi Order to specify its difficulty, ranging from Youngling, to Padawan, to Jedi Knight, to Jedi Master. The following is a list of all foldable characters, along with their levels of difficulty.

Continuity

The book states that Chewbacca met Han Solo when Solo refused to kill him on a mission whilst in the Imperial Academy, whilst Chewbacca was on the run from Imperial forces. Solo: A Star Wars Story, released two years later, established that Solo rescued Chewbacca from slavery, and then escaped the campaign he was participating in at the time.[2]

The book mistakenly refers to the event at which Queen Amidala was fourteen years old as the Battle of Endor, while in fact it was the Invasion of Naboo.[3][4]
