Pessin was a human that flew as a pilot for the New Republic during the Galactic Civil War. At some point after the Battle of Endor, Pessin was taken prisoner by Imperial forces loyal to a splinter faction of the Galactic Empire and, having been left a broken man, he demanded an audience with Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard. Pessin was brought before Adelhard during a conflict between the governor's Imperial Star Destroyer and an assortment of Republic starships. Acknowledging his surrender, when the Moff proceeded to inquire what Pessin believed he had to trade in exchange for his life, the pilot attempted to expose a traitor that he claimed was hidden among Adelhard's forces. Before he could divulge the name of this individual, however, he was incapacitated and dragged away by Lieutenant Kith Alaytia, who denounced his claims as being the trickery of "rebel scum" and condemned Pessin for thinking the Imperial officers were fools. This ferocity impressed the Anzati mystic Reyna Oskure, who commented on the burning emotions she could feel from the ISB officer,[3] who was secretly an agent of the New Republic.[4] Perrin was later killed and left to be found by Commander Bragh when the Purge Trooper arrived to observe Alaytia's interrogation methods, only to find the Republic pilot lying dead with three blaster marks on his back.[2]
