- "I see fire. It grows larger. It consumes anything that tries to stop it."
- ―Jev Eremia describes the Force
Jev Eremia was a human Jedi who was a youngling in 132 BBY during the High Republic Era. He attended a lesson in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant led by Jedi Master Sol, who had the students meditate and connect with the Force. Eremia saw the Force as a fire, consuming all that tried to stop it, and Sol explained that the Force was a power that must be respected. He then dismissed the class for lunch.
Biography
- "Connect to the Force. Have faith. Think of diving into a great ocean. Give yourselves over to its weight, its stillness, its uncertainty. And tell me what comes into your mind."
- ―Sol instructs Eremia and his class
Jev Eremia was a Jedi youngling on Coruscant during the High Republic Era.
Jev Eremia was a human member of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era.[1] In 132 BBY,[3] he[1] was still a youngling and attended a lesson led by Jedi Master Sol on a training veranda in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant. During the lesson, Eremia sat cross-legged on the floor with the rest of the class as Sol instructed them to close their eyes, explaining that sight could not be trusted as it could be deceived. Instead, he had the meditating younglings connect to the Force and tell him what entered their minds.[2]
After other students called out what they saw, Eremia stated that he saw a growing fire, consuming everything that stood against it. Sol nodded and explained that the Force was powerful like a fire or an ocean and so must be respected. Seeing the Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh waiting to speak with him, Sol then called the lesson to an end and Eremia and the other students opened their eyes and stood. As they filed out of the veranda for lunch, shepherded by[2] Jedi Knight Flurri Wiss[1] and another Jedi, each of them bowed before Rwoh.[2]
Personality and traits
- "The Force is powerful. Like fire or the ocean. It is a power we must respect."
- ―Sol responds to Eremia's vision of the Force
During meditation, Jev Eremia perceived the Force as a flame that had to be respected for its destructive potential, but that could be nurturing and warming if carefully tended. He had dark skin, black hair, and brown eyes.[1]
Equipment
During his lesson with Sol, Eremia wore tan Jedi robes with a brown belt and brown shoes.[2] The belt's gray buckle bore a seal of the late High Republic.[1]
Behind the scenes
Jev Eremia was portrayed by Jeremiah Evans in "Lost / Found,"[2] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.[4] The character was credited only as "youngling" in the episode[2] and he was first named in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
