Description

Jan-gwa city plaza was a central location in Jan-gwa city, a small Gungan settlement situated in a valley on the planet Naboo. The plaza circled around one of the round buildings that made up the city. It was located just above the water and was surrounded by railings, with lamps installed on them.[2]

History

In 21 BBY,[3] the bounty hunter Cad Bane travelled to Naboo to kidnap Roo-Roo Page, a Force-sensitive Gungan child, on the orders of Sith Lord Darth Sidious. After the Jedi Anakin Skywalker had a Force vision of the kidnapping, Page's family was notified of the imminent danger and the Gungan Captain Lunker was send to head up security in the city. Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano conducted a mission to Jan-gwa city to save the child. When Bane reached the Gungan family's home, he only found a tooka doll in the child's crib. Tano rushed in to arrest Bane, who attempted to fly away using his rocket boots. Before he could escape, Skywalker, who was positioned on the roof, grabbed Bane's legs in mid-air and dragged him down onto Jan-gwa city plaza, where Tano awaited him with her lightsaber ignited. Bane was taken into custody while the Gungans on the plaza watched the scene unfold. Following Bane's arrest, Roo-Roo Page's mother came forward with Page in her arm. Tano then assured the mother that her child will be safe.[2]
