House Lanar was one of the Great Houses of Alderaan, and a vassal house to House Thul in the years before House Thul's exile. When House Thul returned to the planet Alderaan during the Cold War, Lanar turned on Thul and attacked them, causing House Thul and its backers in the reconstituted Sith Empire to wipe out House Lanar's leaders. House Lanar's soldiers became pirates who preyed on House Thul with the help of the local populace. During the fighting, an imperial killed Rangos Lanar.[1]
