"I have no doubt they'll both be watching. They're one with the planet now." - ―Haru and Asu
A female human was the mother of the Force-sensitive human Haru and her sister Saku. Biography
- "First her parents, now her sister."
- ―A villager, on Saku
The individual was the mother of Haru (left) and Saku (right).
The mother of the Force-sensitive human Haru and her sister Saku—who were both grandchildren of the chief of Meevai Village on the planet[2] Keelia[4]—was a female[3] human. As children, Haru and the human Asu once sat with Haru's mother. At some point, both the mother and the sisters' father died.[2] Between 19 BBY and 1 BBY,[1] Haru, now the bride of Asu, was carried by[2] him[5] on a bridal chair to a sacred location to perform a purification ceremony before their wedding. On the way, Haru said that she wished her parents could have been there. As Asu told her that he had no doubt that they were watching and that they were one with the planet, Haru recalled the time she and Asu sat with her mother. During the wedding, after Saku was unable to convince Haru to not give herself up as a hostage to the raider Izuma, a villager commented on how Saku had already lost her parents.[2]
