Gwira Bolani was a human who worked as a flatbread baker in the street markets of Olega City, capital of the planet Olega, during the High Republic Era. She made unleavened and conveniently portable specialties with exotic toppings and the scents from her oven attracted eager customers.[1] In 132 BBY,[2] Bolani walked past the entryway to the Olega Jedi temple in the city while a group of Jedi were interrogating the street urchin[3] Guthan Archi.[1]
She was then looking at goods on a stall near the Olega Apothecary when the Jedi's ally Verosha Aniseya bought a robe from[3] the merchant Luntobetha[1] nearby.[3] Gwira had light skin and long braids of hair with bands of blonde, ginger, and black coloring. She wore brown robes[1] with brown boots[3] and a gray turban on top of which was strung a tray of goods with a strung together cover hanging down her back.[1]
Behind the scenes
Gwira Bolani appeared in "Revenge / Justice,"[3] the second episode of the live-action Disney+ series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on June 4, 2024.[4] The character was not identified in the episode[3] but was named in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
