"The inker takes the penciler's work and finishes it in ink. The pencils may be very rough breakdowns or very tight. When I inked Greg (The Flash) LaRocque's pencils they were very loose. Jan [Duursema's] Star Wars pencils are usually more finished, but it is always up to the inker to interpret rather than trace the lines of the penciler."
―Dan Parsons[2]

Dan Parsons is an American comic book inker. Born in Rochester, New York on January 10, 1966, he grew up with dreams of being an artist.[1] Parsons became involved with Star Wars comics at the 2002 San Diego Comic-Con when he met penciler Jan Duursema, who was looking for a new inker.[2] In both 2010 and 2015, he won the SPAMI (Favorite Small Press And Mainstream-Independent cover-dated comic book ink work over another pencil artist {Non-Marvel or DC work}) for his Star Wars work at the Inkwell Awards.[3][4]
