An alien female casino gambler often visited Vranki's Hotel and Casino. In 34 ABY, she enjoyed herself while playing at a gambling machine at the establishment. That day, the patron briefly glanced at several visitors from the supertanker fuel depot Colossus as they passed through the casino and later won while playing her game.

Biography

A female casino gambler was a regular Vranki's Hotel and Casino patron[1] by 34 ABY. That year,[3] she played a game at one of the casino's brightly lit machines. The establishment's proprietor, the Hutt Vranki, walked past the alien gambler while escorting several visitors from the supertanker fuel depot Colossus through his casino. As they passed by, she turned to look at the group before refocusing on her gambling game. Later that day, after the Colossus' visitors had won 500,000 credits from Vranki in a racing bet, the alien gambler sat nearby and continued tapping at[2] her[1] machine while the Hutt conversed with the newcomers. Her game's screen illuminated moments later, signifying a win, and she laughed in delight.[2]

Personality and traits

A member of an alien species, the gambler had black eyes and yellow skin. She possessed an elderly appearance[2] with a wrinkle-lined face[4] by the time Colossus residents visited Vranki's establishment.[2] The woman enjoyed herself while at the casino,[1] and was pleased when she won at one of her games.[2]

The casino gambler first appeared in "The Voxx Vortex 5000,"[2] the ninth episode of the second season of the Star Wars Resistance animated television series that premiered on December 1, 2019.[5] In the episode, the patron was portrayed by the actor Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.[2] Lucasfilm Animation artist Luke Harrington created concept-art illustrations of her dated to March 14, March 16,[6] and March 20 of 2018.[4] One of the pieces of concept artwork depicted the gambler in a gray-and-tan outfit adorned with a purple belt and waist pouch, differing from the final design. Another of Harrington's works included several different head designs for the gambler, as well as three alternate designs done in full color.[6]
