Three Canister pieces hanging from a handlebar

Canister was a special boon game piece used in the Canto Pass game. The piece was a narrow cylinder with a series of holes placed orthogonal and spanning approximately two thirds of its length. The pieces came in various shades including blue, green, and red. In Canto Pass, a single Canister was worth just one point, but two Canisters were worth an additional three points.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] an individual named Wido had stashed three Canister pieces in a container on a hill west of a settlement in the Myrra Valley region of the jungle planet Akiva in the Outer Rim.[1]

In 3 ABY,[2] the thief Kay Vess found Wido's stash and stole their Canister pieces.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Canister Canto Pass piece appeared in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. They are one of several Canto Pass pieces that could be collected in the game and used as trinkets to customize the appearance of the player's S57 Cardinal speeder bike and the interior of the Trailblazer, the player's EML-850 light freighter.[1]
