A TIE series variant was in service of the Zantarrk Gang on the planet Kaltrais. The starfighter had additional guns on either side of its solar panels.[1]

Behind the scenes

The TIE variant appeared in Star Wars (2025) 4.[1] Its Legends counterpart, the TIE Experimental M2, first appeared in Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance.[2]
