"If I destroy this place, General Mohc is going to be plenty testy. The thought warms me, and I'm going to need all the warm thoughts I can get on this frozen planet."
―Kyle Katarn[2]

The Mission to Anteevy was a mission in the Galactic Civil War in which a major Phase II dark trooper factory, Imperial Robotics Construction Facility Ice Station Beta was destroyed.

Arriving from Cal-Seti tracing a smuggler ship, Kyle Katarn explored the icy surroundings until he found a way to slip into the facility.

He used the conveyor belts to his advantage, and descented to the place of a spinning turbine with three coupling platforms. He planted one sequencer charges to each of the exchange couplings. Right then a new Phase II dark trooper intercepted him and engaged him in a duel. The two exchanged fire, and the dark trooper fell to Katarn's fire. Right then a door opened to a corridor maze, and Kyle moved to his exit, only to encounter several more Phase I dark troopers; he escaped the complex in the Moldy Crow.[3]

The complex exploded into a huge ball of fire, engulfing the factory and the rest of the stormtroopers in the area. Following the destruction of the phrikite mines on Gromas 16, the destruction brought a serious blow to the development of the Dark Trooper project.[3]

Behind the scenes

In the game Dark Forces, a secret area of the map for this mission consists of a hidden cave shaped like the head of the rabbit Max. While only the head's outline is shown on the map when the player discovers the cave, if he enters the LACDS cheat code, eyes, nose and mouth will become visible.

The above narration follows the Dark Forces Official Player's Guide, which is based on the "Hard" difficulty level setting, where three Phase I dark troopers appear; in the "Medium" difficulty setting, only one appears.
