The Filby system was a part of the Core Worlds.[1] It shared its name with the title of the Baron of Filby, which was held by Logan Erstar by the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Filby system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square L-9.[1]
