Fil, designated 2720, was a clone trooper who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.[2] As a clone of bounty hunter Jango Fett, Fil was born on the planet Kamino, had tan skin, and stood at 1.83 meters tall.[1] Fil was acquainted with fellow troopers 0037, 1137 and 1139. When 1139 wanted a name rather than being referred to by a designation number, 1139 came up with the names "Fil" and "Byl." 1137 then stated that those names were already taken by the troopers who they knew as 2720 and 0037 last week.[2]

Behind the scenes

Fil was mentioned in the animated comic A clone by any other name on the LEGO Star Wars website, released on August 21, 2009.[2]
