"He saw the death of his wife, Fheela."
―Kam Solusar remembering his wife's death[1]

Fheela was the wife of Kam Solusar during the Great Jedi Purge, as well as the mother of Kam's two sons, Jaxor Solusar and Tev Solusar. In order to protect his family from the Galactic Empire, Kam Solusar had Fheela and his children hidden on the planet, Anoth under the protection of his father, Jedi Master Ranik Solusar. Despite this, Fheela and her children were located by Darth Vader and tortured to death.

Behind the scenes

Set between Star Wars: Dark Empire and Star Wars: Dark Empire II in 10 ABY, the cancelled novella Star Wars: Lightsider was set to introduce Fheela as Kam Solusar's long-dead wife. However, the unofficially released manuscript of Lightsider[2] provides a major discrepancy surrounding the time of Fheela and her sons' deaths. Kam Solusar mentions within the manuscript that his family was murdered "thirty-five years ago"[1], which would would indicate that they died in 25 BBY. However, 25 BBY was six years before Darth Vader began hunting Jedi as part of the Great Jedi Purge.[3][4]
