Expose, Pursue, Destroy was an Imperial propaganda poster. It depicted a regular stormtrooper, a scout trooper, and a cold assault stormtrooper adopting idealized, hieratic poses against a white background with the Imperial crest in the background, as well as the words "Your Emperor commands you: Expose - Pursue - Destroy - Those who would resist us" in red colored font (and in the case of the final words, black-colored font on a red banner) belonging to the High Galactic Alphabet. The poster was fittingly included within the section dedicated to the Stormtrooper Corps in the Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide, encompassing an entire page with the footnote stating that the members of the Stormtrooper Corps that were under the Imperial commander's command lived by the words stated on the poster and demands that the commander do the same.[1]

Behind the scenes

The propaganda poster was first mentioned in the 2014 reference book Star Wars: Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide, written by Daniel Wallace and published by becker&mayer!.[1] The poster was illustrated by Russell Walks.[2] Although it was released after April 2014's split of the canon/Legends continuities and the creation of the rule that any works released after that date are to be designated canon, becker&mayer! has confirmed that the Imperial Handbook is branded as Star Wars Legends, meaning it is not part of the current canon.[3] The poster would later also appear in the canon reference book Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy. Although largely the same, the final line on the poster was changed in the latter from "Those who would resist us!" to "Those who would destroy us!". The posters Security in Strength & Order in Obedience and Loyal? Prove It! were also similarly reused in the book.[2]
