Between 230 BBY and 229 BBY,[2] members of the Nihil pirates led by Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro worked with the Harch bounty hunter Vol Garat to excavate the ruins of the Jedi temple on the planet Banchii. Ro hoped to find the journal of former Jedi Azlin Rell, which had been buried within the temple. After an argument with Garat, Ro allowed him to take charge of the excavation and departed. After, as the excavation continued, they found the modified ZZ-model droid ZZ-10, who had been buried with the journal to protect it. ZZ-10 fought back against the Nihil, and was rescued by Jedi Master Arkoff, who had received a communication from the droid.[1]
