Excavation droids or demo-droids were a type of droid utilized on archaeological expeditions. According to legend, HCT-10 and RF-U5 were two such droids that were part of a crew led by the explorer Fionn Tucat during an expedition to the moon of Lupal.[1] Demo-droids were used by the Alderaan Flotilla to dig for lost artifacts, remains or fragments from Alderaan in the Alderaanian Graveyard.[2]
