The Eres system was located in the Esuain sector[1] in the Trans-Hydian portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It contained the terrestrial[4] world Eres III.[3]

A battle of the Mandalorian Wars was fought in the Eres system in 3962 BBY between the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders and the military forces of the Galactic Republic.[2] During the engagement, the Mandalorians caused significant damage to Eres III.[3] During the Jedi Civil War of 3959 BBY–3956 BBY, the Eres system fell within the territory controlled by the empire founded by the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Revan.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Eres system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square Q-7.[2]
