- "My second…my second was Eremin Tarn."
- ―Maks Leem, to Yoda
Eremin Tarn was a Force-sensitive individual who lived during the Galactic Republic's reign. At the age of thirteen, Tarn was taken as a Jedi Padawan by Jedi Master Maks Leem and trained to wield the Force, serving in the Jedi Order as a protector for the Republic. A headstrong yet principled student, Tarn defied the authority of many people, including his Master.[1]
When the inter-galactic Clone Wars began in 22 BBY,[2] Tarn was one of many Jedi to become disillusioned with the Jedi Order. He left the Order and became a follower of Jedi Master Sian Jeisel, who believed that the Jedi should have been fighting against the seemingly corrupt Republic rather than defending it against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[1] In 19 BBY,[3] Leem conversed with Jedi Grand Master Yoda about her former Padawans, expressing her sadness that Tarn had followed Jeisel by departing the Order.[1]
Behind the scenes
Eremin Tarn was mentioned in Yoda: Dark Rendezvous, a novel written by Sean Stewart and published in 2004.[1]
