This article covers a subject from a Star Wars: Visions story that Lucasfilm declared is set in an alternate history within a reimagined galaxy.

The era of war was a time period in the galaxy where the light of the Jedi Order had long since passed. During this time, the ruler of Hy Izlan, Margrave Juro, began a quest to restore the Jedi by seeking out students and also reforging lightsabers. However, the Sith Order[2]—the ancient enemy of the Jedi[3]—was also active and plotted to conquer the galaxy.[2]

As lightsabers appear in The Rise of Skywalker, the events of which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 35 ABY, "The Ninth Jedi" must take place long after 35 ABY.
